Vision board inspiration is kind of like a good playlist. When it’s right, you just know you’re in your groove!
I like that it’s one of those things that looks like a creative project but it’s really doing some real work on your mindset in the background.
If you caught my other posts on vision board manifestation and vision board goals, this one builds right on top of all of that. Think of this one as the fun part…where we talk about how to bring it all to life visually.
Get ready, because we’re going through every area of your life. From faith and relationships to finance and all the stuff that just makes you happy. There’s a lot of great inspiration in here!
Your Faith Life
Most people skip this, but I find that it's usually the one that anchors everything else. Think about what your faith looks like on a daily basis.
Are there specific scriptures that have been speaking to you lately?
Affirmations based in what you believe?
Images that represent the kind of prayer life or devotion you’re working toward?
Your faith section doesn’t have to look like anyone else's. In fact it probably won’t!
If a simple verse on a plain background is what moves you, then add it. If you want images of a journal, a candle, and your favorite morning quiet spot, go for it.
Your Health and Body
Please don’t go overboard with this section of your vision board. So many people fill this with images of bodies they want to have instead of images of a life they want to live. And then they wonder why it doesn't feel motivating.
Try thinking about it in three buckets: movement, rest, and nourishment.
What do inspiring actions for body and your health look like?
A morning walk, a workout you enjoy, meals that make you feel good, restful sleep. Find images that represent those things rather than only focus on an aesthetic.
The goal is to put something on your board that reminds you why you take care of yourself, not only what you want to look like. There’s a difference!
The People in Your Life
As you can imagine, this is another one that gets overlooked a lot. It’s probably because relationships are a bit harder to capture in an image. But the people in your life are worth a whole section of their own!
Think about the kind of wife, mom, friend, or daughter you want to be this year. Think about the relationships you’re investing in and the ones you want to establish.
Perhaps it’s through more date nights, better friendships, being more present with your kids, or repairing a relationship that needs attention.
Words work really well here. Try words like “present,” “patient,” “loyal,” or “fun mom.” They can say more than a picture sometimes. Let this section be a reflection of how you want to be there for the people in your life you love the most.
Your Work and Your Calling
I’d say this section is bigger than your job title. Envision what meaningful work looks like for you...right now.
Perhaps you’re building a business on the side. Or you’re trying to find more purpose in the work you already do. Maybe you have a creative project that keeps getting pushed to the back burner. Those are the kinds of ideas that belong here.
Look for images that represent the kind of work environment, impact, or creative output you’re aiming for.
If being an entrepreneur is part of your vision, then find something that captures that. If leadership, creativity, or teaching is your thing, then these ideals should all be on your board.

Your Home and Daily Life
All too often, people only think about big goals when they make a vision board. But your everyday life is worth visioning too!
What do you want your mornings to look like? Your evenings? Your home life? Your weekends?
If travel is part of the picture, then include it. If a more organized, peaceful home environment is your goal, find imagery that reflects that.
Even something as simple as a comfy reading nook or a dinner table full of people you love is worth putting on the board.
Who You’re Becoming
This is one of my favorite sections because it's about the version of you that's still in progress.
Are there books you want to read this year?
Skills you want to pick up?
Habits you are trying to work on?
Ways you want to think differently or handle things better?
They all go here.
You can reflect this with, say, a stack of books or a language learning app. Or you can use a word that represents the mindset shift you’re working on.
The distinction is you are you become and growing into, not just the things you want to have and own.
Your Money and Your Future
Money goals don’t have to look like a spreadsheet on your vision board. But if that’s your thing, then do it!
But I believe that the more you can connect your financial goals to the why behind them, the more motivating this area becomes.
What does financial freedom look like for you and your family? Tithing more? Is it a paid off house, the ability to be generous, a college fund, the option to take a trip without stressing?
Find images that represent those things, not only a dollar amount. Security, generosity, and provision are all worth representing here.
Putting It All Together
Now that you have content for every section, here’s how to think about the styling.
Physical boards are great if you are a tactile person who loves magazines, scissors, and an excuse to spread out on the floor.
Digital boards are great if you want something you can pull up on your phone. Neither one is better! Pick the format you will use.
For layout, you can organize by life category, by season of the year, or by visual flow. There’s no right (or wrong) way.
And know that you can (and should!) always update the board as your life and goals changes.
Making It a Habit
It’s not a one-time thing! The boards that work are the ones you see every day.
Put yours somewhere that is part of your normal routine. Your bathroom mirror, your desk, your lock screen, the wall above your coffee maker…. It needs to be accessible.
Once a month, even if only for five minutes, sit with your board and notice how you are doing. Celebrate the things that are moving forward and update anything that no longer fits.
Your vision board is a living thing, not a set it and forget it project.
